#Tripwithme is a travel-based series, created for the digital platform by Shubh Mukherjee, the founder of Ipix Movies. Shubh and his team always wanted to create a unique series under their upcoming independent content division ‘Ipix indies’ that would grow as an intellectual property. After a long creative study #Tripwithme was conceptualized and India was chosen as the feature for season 1.
The idea was to travel across the country, exploring & capturing the most unseen sights & stories. To make it more challenging & interesting, it was based on a time limit of 30 days. So, the concept of the show was to travel, to as many places, meet as many people; capture as many stories across the country in just 30 days. What Shubh and his team covered in the show was impeccable; the twin town that was home to 250 pair of twins, the Lonar-lake that was created out of a meteor impact, drive on the world’s highest motor-able pass, exploring Asia’s cleanest village and a cup of tea in a restaurant with graves.
A country with multiple religions, castes, cultures and different extremes of living. Shubh and his team put together a research of 5 months, to create a tentative route plan, which had their challenges. Yet it was going to be a trip, with no fixed route plan, as during the course of this trip, it would change again. Unexplored places, Unseen mysteries, unexpected stories of people and unplanned adventures were a part of this journey every now and then.
As a plan, Shubh & his filming crew decided to cut out all communication from the outside world, and the only people they would meet or communicate with, would be the people they met in their journey, trying to collect a meaningful message from everyone they met. Somewhere during the journey, more than getting to the wish list of destinations, what was getting truly more intriguing was the quest to get to the destination, the one of a kind experience of the journey.
Eventually what was set out to be a travel show, became the experience of a lifetime. So here was Shubh, leaving behind everything including his family, friends and professional life, embarking on a trip that everyone dreams of doing at-least once in a life time, also filming it to create his first ever travel series, called #TRIPWITHME, Season 1- INDIA in 30 Days.
